Hope you had a good weekend. It was pretty slow here. The weather was lovely and it got into the 80s (which is a little too warm for February). I didn’t do much other than read, clean, do laundry, spend time on the internet looking at other blogs, hang out with the cats, things around the house. It’s actually my favorite way to spend a weekend but it always goes really fast. I wrapped it up by watching the last hour or so of the Oscars.
Tony and I don’t go to the movies very often because we don’t have the same taste in films usually. I sometimes have a movie-renting marathon to catch up when he is busy elsewhere. But the last movie we did see was Slumdog Millionaire and we both loved it–Tony maybe more so as he’s been to Mumbai three times on business, although not for about 6 years. I was very excited last night to watch the cast and crew win 8 Oscars, especially the one for Best Picture.
One of the times Tony went to Mumbai, he was able to fly up to Agra (in 2002) to see the Taj Mahal:

I have only seen (so far) a couple of the other movies mentioned, including The Visitor, another excellent film, and The Duchess, also very good. And, really, Angelina Jolie’s emerald earrings were gorgeous!
