Anna’s Hummingbirds, male and female
Verdins
Orange-crowned Warbler (“Tink”)
Tink has a new member of the Warbler family also visiting in the yard and also loving the grape jelly she loves. She doesn’t seem too fond of him, though. He chases her and is very chatty at times so she has moved over to the other jelly feeder.
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon’s
Abert’s Towhee
Curve-billed Thrashers
Small Milkweed Bug (note the alien-like heart-shaped face on its back)
Lesser Goldfinches, female and male
Gila Woodpecker, male
Ferguson says, “Where’d the birdies go?”
Other birds seen daily in the yard: Eurasian-collared Doves, Rock Pigeons, House Finches, House Sparrows, European Starlings, Great-tailed Grackles. I have also recently seen a Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Rosy-faced Lovebirds, White-crowned Sparrow, Red-tailed Hawk flyover…
Those hummingbirds are so beautiful, male or female 🙂
A jelly feeder — never heard of that before but it kind of makes sense. Do you keep the oranges out all the time? (replenished for fresh ones, I realize, I mean year-round)

Yes, I put a new orange out everyday, halved, year-round, and all sorts of birds love them. Same with the jelly (grape), they all love it.

Beautiful and informative. Grape Jelly? Who knew? No peanut butter and Wonder Bread to go with that😊?

Your bird photos are so pretty! It’s sure good to see them! We are down to a few of the most hardy species here now. I wonder of any of those hummers are ones that I fed all summer.
